Light your home for less with energy-efficient fixtures, fans and bulbs.
According to ENERGY STAR® in the average U.S. home up to 20 percent of residential electricity bills are from lighting. One of the simplest moves you can make to start saving money and reducing your home’s environmental impact is to install ENERGY STAR qualified light bulbs. By replacing incandescent bulbs with qualified compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) you can use up to 75 percent less energy and save money over the lifetime of each bulb.
If you’re remodeling or building a new home, consider installing ENERGY STAR qualified light fixtures. With cash incentives available for buying ENERGY STAR qualified lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, you get cash back in your pocket and save on your electricity bill year after year. In addition, look for special pricing on CFLs at select retailers.
